A note from our principal...

Howdy and welcome to the Shrine of St. Anne Catholic School!

After a long and fulfilling career in the public school sector where I was a principal in Arvada from 1997 - 2015, I felt called to serve in the Catholic School system. I served at St. Louis and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary schools before beginning at the Shrine of St. Anne. I LOVE it here and I think you will, too!

My husband Jim and I married 37 years ago and are blessed with 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to read and watch movies. My husband and I play golf and watch sports. I enjoy running which is becoming more walking these days, but I'm still moving forward. If you are like my husband, you think it's nuts that I've run 6 marathons and 50 half marathons. If you are like me, you'll ask what my next race is.

Along side our school parents and community members, I look forward to advancing the mission of the Shrine of St. Anne and to continuously educate the whole student.

HISTORY

The Shrine of St. Anne Catholic School opened September 5, 1961, with students in 6th and 7th grades consisting of only 108 children. At the time, it was the 55th school in the Archdiocese and tuition was $55 per family. Additional grades were added over the next several years. The Shrine of St. Anne School has provided excellent formation for thousands of students and families for over 60 years. Many of our families are multi-generational families that have returned decade after decade.

MISSION

The Shrine of St. Anne School is a Catholic community rooted in Christ, in Knowledge, and in Tradition. Under the patronage of St. Anne, we strive to educate the whole child spiritually, academically, physically, and socially within the loving community that surrounds our school.

CORE BELIEFS

The teachers and staff of the Shrine of St. Anne School believe that all children embody our Savior, Jesus Christ, and are gifts from God. We believe that all children are learners. We believe that through a faith-filled community, differentiated instruction, and challenging learning opportunities we will have a school filled with engaged and active learners, including our staff because we are all lifelong learners. Finally, we believe we can help every child who walks through our doors make great progress towards, meet, or exceed their potential.
